A Town Called Panic French Panique au village is a 2009 internationally coproduced stopmotion animated adventure fantasy comedy family film, starring Stphane Aubier, Jeanne Balibar, Nicolas Buysse, Franois De Brigode, Vronique Dumont, Bruce Ellison, Christine Grulois, Frdric Jannin, Bouli Lanners, Christelle Mahy, ric Muller, Franois Neyken, Vincent Patar, Pipou, Franco Piscopo, Benot Poelvoorde, David Ricci, Ben Tesseur and Alexandre von Sivers, coproduced in Belgium, Luxembourg and France, produced by Adriana PiasekWanski, Philippe Kauffmann, Xavier Diskeuve, Stphan Roelants, Arlette Zylberberg and Vincent Tavier and distributed by Gbka Films. It was written and directed by Stphane Aubier and Vincent Patar and is based on the TV series of the same name. It premiered at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival and was the first stopmotion film to be screened at the festival. The film was released theatrically on October 28, 2009 by Gbka Films and Zeitgeist Films. The film received generally positive reviews with the filmcritics.

The film was made over the course of 260 days in a studio on the outskirts of Brussels. 1500 plastic toy figures were used during filming.The film premiered at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival on May 21, 2009 and was released theatrically on October 28, 2009 by Gbka Films and Zeitgeist Films. It was also released on DVD on April 1, 2010 by Madman Entertainment. ........
